Fairbridge College at Kalgoorlie Campus provides an embedded commitment to giving back to the community and collaborates closely with local organisations within the Goldfields to support educational programs offered at the college. Students are empowered to have a voice, make change and work with staff to create a sustainable school environment that is welcoming for all students. About You

Teachers at Fairbridge are highly diverse and very hands-on, demonstrating flexibility, patience, and understanding when dealing with students, staff, and parents.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be eager to build relationships with young people who are either disengaged or at risk of disengaging from school.

  • Have the capacity to creatively teach literacy and/or numeracy to students who are academically several years behind.

  • Have an interest in trauma-informed practice and techniques (we will provide training)

  • Demonstrate the ability to be flexible in the management and delivery of support to student.

Candidates will be highly regarded if they have

  • Qualifications and experience working with students that have specific learning disabilities or communication disorders.

  • The capacity to teach across multiple learning areas.

  • A LR/MR license and can drive a bus.
