About You

We are looking for a Student Support Officer to join our education team. Our Student Support Officers operate in much the same way as an Education Assistant assisting students in the learning space and helping them to engage with their teacher and their learning.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a relevant qualification in education or youth work.
  • Demonstrate an ability to build relationships with young people who are either disengaged or at risk of disengaging from school.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication and IT skills.
  • Have a Western Australian driver’s license.
  • Be confident to support class teachers in working with students to regulate behaviour.

Candidates will be highly regarded if they have:

  • Experience utilising trauma-informed practice and techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar educational environment.
