Location: Fairbridge College Kalgoorlie Campus, WA

Position: Permanent part-time

Starting Time: Immediately

About the Job:

Work with young people who are completing traineeships/work experience.
Upkeeping the general grounds including hedge trimming, mowing, pruning, weeding and spraying.
Keeping pathways clear and tidy.
Routine maintenance of relevant plant and equipment.
Maintains the village swimming pool including cleaning and undertaking water testing.
Attends to the Village rubbish bins in line with regular council pickups.
Undertakes any general requirements as advised by the Grounds and Maintenance Coordinator.

The successful candidate will have:

Cert II or III in Horticulture based qualification (desirable, not essential).
2+ years relevant industry experience in a similar role covering planting, pruning, composting, fertilizing, reticulation, operating garden equipment and maintenance tools etc.
Have good knowledge of reticulation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work without supervision, lead where required and work cooperatively as part of a team.
Valid Western Australian motor vehicle manual drivers’ licence (CA Class).
Current National Police Clearance (no older than 90 days).
