Location: Fairbridge College Kalgoorlie Campus, WA

Position: Permanent part-time

Fairbridge College at Kalgoorlie Campus provides an embedded commitment to giving back to the community and collaborates closely with local organisations within the Goldfields to support educational programs offered at the college. About the Position:

The role is highly diverse and very hands-on and requires utmost flexibility, patience and understanding when dealing with students, staff and parents. The role is a permanent fixed-term position. We are offering a competitive salary, in line with experience, for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will have:

  • the capacity to motivate and engage students and provide opportunities for success, and
  • the ability to be very flexible in the management and/or delivery of support to students.
  • Hold a Training & Assessment Qualification.

Skills and experiences:

  • A Trade Certificate.
  • Willingness to pass on your experience through training others.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Experience working with youth.
  • Good communication and team-focused attitude.
  • Punctual
  • Understanding of Work Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain.

Applicants will be required to:

  • Develop lesson plans and presenting learning opportunities to students, ensuring that curriculum requirements are met,
  • Assess, evaluate, record, and report on student’s progress, development, and learning,
  • Address students’ challenges by developing individual learning plans and liaising with relevant individuals (e.g., parents, teachers, principal),
  • Encourage students to develop confidence, resilience, and self-esteem,
  • Manage students’ behaviour and learning,
  • Undergo a National Police Clearance, and
  • Obtain a Working with Children’s Check.
